June in Tenerife
This month of June, one of the biggest celebrations in Tenerife is Corpus Cristi in La Orotava, where the main events are held on the 8th day, which falls last Thursday. Around 100,000 people crowded into the streets of the town this year to see all of the Sand and Flower carpets. The activity start being made from early hour, late morning and early afternoon is the best time to see them virtually complete.
Other events in La Orotava around Corpus Cristi include the Romaria (folk festival in traditional Canarian dress) held on the following Sunday. It’s been hailed as the Prettiest Fiesta in the Canary Island and is probably the biggest of this type, 25,000 people took part of this activity.
Number of tourist is really increasing the numbers compared to previous month this year. Tourism industry of the island such as Hoteles Tenerife, restaurants, souvenirs, and other are in the fairly experience the peek of the tourism services of the year.
